Starting out in any sport can really take a lot out of a wallet. Racing is one of the most costly of extreme sports to get in to. A racer not only has to buy and outfit a car, they also have to get all the needed safety equipment for the driver such as helmet, gloves, racing suit and shoes. This is why so many in the sport have sponsors.

Christina Worthy ( Nikki ) will be taking up dirt track racing in the upcoming 2009 season. With the cost of buying  the car, motor and parts, we were left strapped. That is until we ran across Starving Racers. Each day that Nikki writes a blog post, people sign up as her fan club or comment on her blog, she earns points. Each point she earns gets her to a goal at being able to get all types of things race related such as, gloves, racing jacket, pants, tires, money to race, parts and so much more.

This is a costly adventure and without the help of good people and sponsors, we would never be able to make it to the first race.
