All about the Talent; Fourth Edition
Prelude:
For those of you that are unfamiliar with this series, let me backtrack a little. I want to give you the history of it and where the inspiration came from. A few Saturday’s ago, I was holding a conversation with Sorin of Online Sports Articles and News over the Net when it dawned on me that I should interview him. I got the idea of promoting other sports bloggers from a group called Hidden Gems in the Rain on ActiveRain Real Estate Network. So, I decided to do it here in Athletic Alley. I really did not expect the participation level that hit my door the first day. With that said, I am happy to help expose some of the great sports blogs around. So, without further adieu, let’s get on with this week’s blogger. Today we take on a different layout and look as the series evolves.
The Talent:

Today, I got a chance to sit down with the young and very talented author of Sports Addict. His name is Charles Salazar and he resides in the Philippines. Even though the site is just under two months old, Charles along with his brother have gotten a great amount of relevant content up. At this point it would seem that his page is still to young for Google to rank it and my Alexa rankings have been down for some time. With that said, I do find the articles a good read. When I asked what he did for a living, his reply was “I’m a mechanical engineer.”
One of the great thing about the website Sports Addict is that Charles and his brother cover anything that is about sports. From Athletes Foot to Gel Wraps to Tennis, there is something for all sports enthusiast. Charles has been blogging for the same amount of time that his site has been up, but I think that he is doing a great job at it. And his attitude towards it is that he wants to continuously learn more about blogging. That in it self scores big points in my book. What I find appealing about Charles was when asked what his favorite thing about blogging was, he said “The sharing, commenting, and funny things.” Typically when someone is starting out blogging they are more concerned of their own blog than commenting on others.
Most sports writers have a connection to sports. That is true of Charles as well. When asked about his connection to sports, I was told that it was about the competition and the way that you push yourself. His drive envelopes this as well as he strives for the camaraderie that can exist between bloggers.
If you have not had a chance to get by this page, check it out today. I promise you there is something there for you to sink your teeth in.
